"Something magical happened..."

     

     In the summer of 2008, with only the love of Shakespeare and a vision, a group of neighborhood individuals, both novice and experienced, decided to put on a production of Much Ado About Nothing. Since that daunting first year, South Park has produced a total of thirteen shows and continues to grow.

     Shakespeare in South Park, located in the Historic South Park District in Dayton, Ohio, produces a yearly community sponsored production. All enthusiastic individuals are welcome to audition and volunteer. Shakespeare in South Park has a tradition of incorporating young people into each production to promote a positive, creative introduction to Shakespeare and live theatre.
